Gun show should kick them out. I think the show has a responsibility to police what is being sold at their shows. I know they can't be everywhere, especially if it's a large show. But they should make the rounds the beginning of each show and do their best to see what is being sold.
OK, I'll bite. Fer what? Being a stupid racist a-hole isn't illegal. The disgusting part was when the guy said he had already sold 500 of them that weekend. Hopefully he is a stupid racist a-hole liar.
He sold 500 of them and surely would have sold more had they stayed out. No surprise really to me. The guy was an opportunist and knew there was a market for them. They're in SD where I'd bet less than 1% of the patrons are Black making it easy for those attending to be comfortable with it. I mean comfortable not in the sense that they agree with it or want them but comfy enough that they don't care about them being there or wouldn't say anything about it. I see this often where people will be one way in mixed company but tend to get comfy when they feel theyre with closed company. Having a diverse group of friends and acquaintances on FB allows me to see this more often than I prefer from all sorts of people.
^ This. This week has been an entertaining one in the social media space. Interesting what people say (and don't say) when they think they are the "only people in the room" so to speak.
Depending on the buyer, it might be for history sake, a collector of a certain era etc
Or it could be a neo-nazi thats buying it up. Its up in the air on that one.
But buying a "running N*******" target only leaves one kind of buyer - racist bastards.
The two words don't share similar histories at all, but I'm thinking you already know that and just believe you are pointing out an obvious "double standard".
I'm talking about people getting rid of ANYTHING German in the States during WW2 like Dachund, German surnames, and the like. Point is you would have been labeled a Nazi sympathizer at best if you had a Hitler youth knife in 1945-1975.....somewhere along the way people quit GAF.
Stupidity is like oxygen, it is everywhere, surrounding us and just when we forget how deep it runs, some bubba brings it home.
Considering those who gave their lives defending our freedoms, people could perhaps aim just a weeeeee bit higher.
