Ok, so I have bought a kinetic bullet puller. Never really need one until now, but now Im trying to pull 69smk from my 223 brass. Following the instructions as best I can tell, but Im still getting nowhere. Am I missing something here?

The kinetic pullers will work but they make a mess with the power spill. I use a Hornady cam lock in the press. Clean, quick and no damage to the bullet.
I second that, Also have a maybe 40-50 year old collet puller from RCBS works great and fast.

I hit mine directly on the concrete garage floor. The wood table doesnt work as well.

I use the dillon kinetic puller.

If i am using lead bullets, I stuff papertowels in the end so the dont get messed up by the plastic fins in the end.

Kenetic pullers are ok and they do work but you have to hit the heck on something hard. I use my vise. I perfer to use a Foster bullet puller especially for rifle bulllets.

It takes a special whack. I do it on carpet just fine, in most cases. On some factory ammo, you might have to bump the bullet back a little bit to break the "seal." When you hit it, make sure you are hitting as if you are going through whatever you are striking. If you let it hit and bounce back, you are not doing it correctly. Any my powder doesn't make a mess either. Mine stays in the hammer.

If you can swing it, buy the RCBS collet puller. No muss, no fuss.

There has always been something counterintuitive to me about hammers and bullets.

There have been discharges as well with the kinetic pullers.

Definitely recommend good eye protection.

When I first bought my 222 tc barrel, it came with 50 loaded rounds. I didnt like the charge the gent had, that made them. I didnt have any other 222 brass, so I bought a kinetic puller. What a pain in the neck, must have taken me 20 - 30 wacks per cartridge to get those 55 grain heads to break loose.
Since then, Ive bought plenty of brass, Im not useing that kinetic ever again unless the brass I need is very rare or expensive.

Used them for years, never seen it or did I ever hear of it.

Any facts to back that up?
Did they hit it one the wrong end or not put the round in correct?
