...before we b!tch slap them like the little pests they are?!?!

Video: http://goo.gl/zP9zv
Article: http://goo.gl/ghClk

We supposedly have enough evidence for our weak-kneed gub'ment to get on TV and call them out on it, yet all we do is issue threats and more warnings?!?!?! How far do they need to go??? Actually pull off their attack? I seriously doubt that even THEN we'd be compelled to attack them.

We're a sitting duck. It must be tremendous fun to be an enemy of the US. You know that you can take pot shots and little jabs here and there and get away with it every time. This is baloney horse sh!t that we sit around doing nothing while bastards like these are not just plotting, they're DOING. I can't help but think we caught this one by the skin of our teeth...got lucky. What happens when we don't get lucky???

I wish I could say my rant was over...

What would you like us to do? Invade?
Not sit here and take their sh!t anymore, that's what I'd like us to do.

We have a crap-ton of people much more intelligent and experienced in the "what to do" category than me, so I'll leave it to them.

How many chastising letters can we write and send through the politically correct UN channels? How many speeches can we give that says "we didn't appreciate that"? How are those working out for us? They must be making good bathroom reading for Tehran.

I'm not for endangering any American life (or any allies either) over their craphole of a country. But damn it man, why do we have the most powerful military in the world? Why do we keep SEAL teams and the myriad of other specialized teams at an incredible heightened level of alert and training? Why spend all the money if it's just going to sit there and rot while people spit in our face?!?! Sell it all at auction if this is how we're going to defend ourselves.

I'm not a war monger, but damn it, enough is enough. No, it wasn't one of our people that they wanted to kill (at least not directly...we all know how discrete an "explosive device" is, right? ). That's not the point. My point is to not sit around waiting for their next level of defiance...ESPECIALLY since that means my own a$$ could be in danger. The folks who don't want to invade or use any force may not care about their own well-being...that's cool. They can go hiking over there and see how well the Iranians receive their hospitality...

I pay my 20-something percent of federal taxes in part for an exchange of protection and representation. I'm not getting the service I ordered.

We should not send any special unit anywhere unless we are attacked IMO, no matter the level of weapons and training.

I say quit holding "other countries" back and let them do what they have been wanting to do for a long time. Afterall, the middle east has been at each others throats for 2000+ years. We as a nation will never change their ways of thinking or beliefs. Let them have at it.

Our last issue with Iran was settled by Israel...we just stood back and let them take care of it. Not even close to the same scenario but starting a fight with a country we know is backed by China is not a smart move right now.

Yes you are. They foiled the plot, didn't they?

I can't help but call BS on this. Jobs bill fails, Economy still sucks, Fast and Furious is rearing its head. They need a distraction, not to mention Iran working with Cartels? That's a bit much even for them.

We don't need another war, not to mention war with Iran would be much more horrific than anything we've seen in Afghanistan or Iraq combined. Geographically we've been set up for years on either side of them but a push from the west is tricky with the terrain. That and we'd then have more grief to deal with from China and Russia.

If you caught me strapping a bomb to the side of your house, would you shoot me or send me a "firm" letter telling me not to do that again?

If it weren't for our lucky catch of the dummy trying to contact the "Mexican cartel" and stumbling into the lap of a DEA agent, we'd be hearing about this plot in a post-tense news report.

Caught in the act is just as bad, just without the good guy casualties. If we don't make it clear to not do that again, it'll happen again.

And I don't mean to dwell on "special forces"...I don't mean to sound like Michael Bolton from Office Space--a non-service dweeb who's answer to everything is "Navy SEALs!" Use drones, air strikes, foot soldiers, I don't care...some more of that nasty computer virus stuff...SOMETHING other than fat Hillary Clinton trying to use her best ugly look to scare them into playing nice.

I'll admit, it approaches unbelievable. Maybe I'm taking their bait. I sure as heck hope it's not concocted by our own...

I don't want a "war" either. We've spent untold volumes developing things that go bang from a distance for just this reason...to not endanger American lives on the battlefield. Use it! The pen is only mightier than the sword if the other side can read...or doesn't wipe their butt with the paper you wrote.

I'm tired of getting kicked around as a country. It makes us more plump and ripe for another terrorist attack. They can tell their cohorts "see...even if you get caught, you get a free meal and a place to live for the rest of your life." Hell, if I lived over there in some mud crap hut, I'd sign up for it...sounds better than eating scorpions and making sure your beard isn't too short for fear of being flogged (yes, I'm being a smarta$$ here).

Has 10 years of of war in Iraq and Afghanistan made it clear to Al Qaeda that they better not do it again?

How do you know they are not doing stuff like that? It's not like they are going to advertise it or anything?

I don't support preemptive attacks, sorry.
There's where we'll respectively differ.

I say keep the Giant awake...let's not have to awaken him. That doesn't mean he has to walk around strutting and intimidating, it just means people don't F with him.

There may come a day when the Giant tries to wake up and the town folk have tied him down like in the old Disney stories.

Just an FYI, what ever is planned regarding Iran is not going to be blasted on message boards and the news. At least not for a while anyway. Anything strategic in nature will likely not be known untill after the fact.
