Who do you want to win? Who do expect to win?

You know for a 50th super bowl i have not been impressed. Game understandable with two good defenses besides some questionable play calling. But the half time show and commercials have not been very impressive this year for all the hype. I mean toenail fungus and diarrhea medicine commercials are not the highlight of my day, save that for tomorrow when that might be a concern.

Why is the clock running.....he was knock out of bounds????//?? Wtf

Cannot believe Cam didn't dive on that fumble.
He's a bitch. All bluster and no substance. He rode the defense all year.

Even against Seattle early in the season when they were down he looked like he wanted to cry in the huddle.

His receivers deserve some blame too.

His stats for the year would suggest otherwise. He had an amazing year and is still a young quarterback.

The offense line couldn't handle Denver tonight and the terrible calls didn't help.

Denver Defense was simply too much. A lot of people don't realize that defense is ranked as on one of the top 5 in NFL history!
Tough loss for the Panthers.
Indeed

Sorry guys. Tough loss. When you get blown out of the water like we have in the super bowl it really sucks, but at least this one was relatively close.

My compadre from the Raiders nation called it perfectly. Miller and Ware were devastating on the O line.

Panthers 320 total yards
Denver 190 total yards

Panthers 4 Turnovers
Denver 2 Turnovers
Turnovers were the game. Carolina fumbles mostly.

What I posted on FB about it:

Carolina deserved that loss...

Their defense was pretty solid, like they have been... The offense was just crap. They just could not consistently keep the defenders off Newton and that was all it took to make it a one sided game.

I told my wife early on that one of the things that they had done very well over the last couple of months is to hammer in 3 or 4 scores very early on in a game and then sorta coast through the rest of the game while their defense held the other team... They failed to do that tonight, largely because of a lack of protection on the QB.

That said, the majority of the A ranked players on the team are very young and next year and perhaps the next few years will almost certainly be very interesting years to watch...

On a similar note, I told my wife before the game that if I had not been a Carolina transplant in recent years, I would most likely be rooting for Denver. Solely because I think very highly of Manning and he has a very distinguished career that stretches for my entire adult life and this was likely his last game... If anyone deserves a win like tonight, it is him.

On a different note, I really hope the guy who pulled that face mask penalty early in the game gets hit with a fine that makes my annual income look like peanuts...

Oh and on a final note... The commercials were crap... Seriously, I expected more.

Oh and who ever did the sound engineering for halftime should be fired... There is no excuse for the audio being so bad that you cant hear the singers, I have heard better audio from 300 person concerts at nightclubs...

Denver also didn't need Peyton Manning, Tim Tebow could have won that game for Denver. They didn't score an offensive TD until the end, and that was because defense set them up.

So true.

Whoever the worse QB in the NFL was this year could have won that game for Denver. I like Peyton as he is a class act, but I don't get all this praise for him this year, he rode his defense to a SB win.

I think that there is some level of reverence for him... He has been in the league for a very long time, is one of the better players to have done it for that long, and as you said is a class act... Plus that was likely his last game... So yea, not a bad guy to root for.

Yeah quite honestly I was torn on who to pull for. I am happy for Peyton winning a super bowl as the oldest qtrback to do it. Sad the panthers lost and sad for Brett Favre because he beat his record.
