I can't carry at work, but I would like to make a habit of carrying every other time. I'm debating on whether I'd just leave it on when I go somewhere I can't carry or if I would rather take it all off every time. It would seem it would be easier to just wear all the time and remove the gun as necessary. It would be either RRHolmes' pancake style IWB or Alexap's as I haven't found any locally in stores anyway. A friend swears by Wild Bill's, but no telling when one will arrive. Do you guys/gals carry while driving or place it in your console? It would seem hard to draw from a seated in the car position, but then I have never done it. Thanks for input.

You can pick up a Wild Bills at most gun shows, no waiting...they are near Durham if I remember correctly. Met the owner a couple of shows ago, nice guy, they move a ton of holsters, thus the wait time.

I like RRHOLMES. He can make it however you want it.
****I've never owned a Alexap's, but have had 5 or so from Rick, and can't say I've got anything negative to say about them. I can say that after I wore one with my Glock 20SF for almost 250hrs straight.

I just got my holster from Neal (alexap) a couple of days ago. Wore it all night the night I got it, and almost forgot the gun was there a few times. It's a GREAT deal and a very comfortable holster. Super easy draw and re-holstering for an IWB setup. I also have a RRHolmes holster, and while it's also very comfortable, for extended wear I lean towards the alexap design. Rick's is easier for grab-n-go, though.

I have no experience with products from RRHolmes but I can give 10 thumbs up for the ones from Alexap. We bought one for a Kahr CM9 and one for a Ruger LCR. (for my wife) Both have fit and finish quality 2nd to none. Other than on my job (due to anti-gun policies) I try to wear it any time the law permits. I'm fairy new to conceal carry and have never worn an IWB holster til now. I rarely notice it there and have no concerns of my firearm "showing" which is the hardest part for a beginning carrier. In the 3:30 to 4 o'clock position it doesn't effect my driving at all. Neil corresponded several times thru e-mail and PM's and I couldn't ask for a better transaction or a nicer guy. Future plans will include one for my SR9C as well. Best of luck whichever path you take. I'm sure you know already but your belt is critical as well.

Rick and Neal make high quality products. You cannot go wrong with either - it just depends on the style you prefer. Both of these men are class A people, offer truly superb service, and will bend over backwards to make you happy.

Heck man, buy one of each .If it is for any gun I have, I will buy the one you do not want :)

and Rick is one of the finest people you'll ever meet and is a member here , two thumbs up for Rick
110% agree. Great communication/products and just overall a nice guy.

Really it depends on what you want.

Neal's if you want a hybrid for IWB like a Crossbreed.

Rick's if you want kydex for IWB & OWB like a Raven.
Again, agree. Havent bought any of Neals holster but Ricks are top notch. NClivingBrit has a goof review of them somewhere...

I was trying to find an actual pic of the IWB style forward cant for my MP9C and wasn't sure which of his photos it would be. I believe he referred to it as a pancake style IWB. I wanna make sure I see the difference between his conventional IWB and pancake IWB.
What kind of belt is pretty commonplace for IWB carry?

Ok, I finally figured out which was which. Duh. The "low rider" version of Holmes' holsters appears to have one clip where the pancake style has two and spreads it out against you more. My concern would be the one clip versus two with a MP9C. Has anyone found why they like the smaller low rider version better than the pancake one?

Well, I just ordered one from Rick Holmes to try it out first. I like the idea of quick removal and the compact size. Quite a few members have it and seem to like it. I may end up with one of Alexaps as well at some point.

Got my alexap holster a week or so ago. After a week of wear testing I can definitely say this thing is awesome. The gun disappears and I forget it's there from time to time. Great piece of kit and an AWESOME price.
