Well, I was in ''my room'' at the house whilst listening to the football game on my wireless headphones . I have a fireproof safe dedicated to ammo only and I was stashing some rounds I received yesterday.

About that time the love of my life walks in behind me ( with me hearing only NFL announcers) and I do not realize she is there.

Next thing I hear ( louder than the game ) is - ''OH MY GOD ! '' The safe is wide open, and she is looking straight in. Yea, I have a stash, lol .

My wife now thinks I am Rambo, and she HATED that movie. :8::7:

I have 12 ammo cans lined up against a wall that are nearly all full of various calibers. I guess I'd be considered a terrorist under the new NDAA rules

My wife just f'n BARELY tolerates anything recoil related....
The ONLY thing that levels the playing field is when a large target order comes in and she gets a little extra stashin' cash....
I usually get gift certs or guns for b'day, etc., so it could be worse...
She hasn't got a CLUE that there are thousands of rounds of ammunition in the house and shop...and backyard...and mom's house...and at the secret river compound...or the underground bunker...

BWAHAHAHA!!!! LOL

Wes, we wouldn't want you to be in the doghouse, so just let me know when and I'll drive all the way to Greensboro and let you load all except one box of ammo in my truck and I'll bring it back here and take good care of it for you. You can just tell her you were storing it for me and it won't be back....:thumbup1:

My wife would freak out if she saw my true stash. He goes nuts when she sees more than two rifles asking how can you afford that. She dosnt know i had multiple rifles before we got married. She only knew about one.

Lol.....it was a company I helped start in 2000.. I left in 07 due to a dispute over stock I was owed. They were cool with guns n stuff, that's why I had it shipped there. It was also in the days of $150/case RG. and Port, and $80/1000 mixed from southernammo.com!

I think I've still got a few thousand left lol

haha, your story reminds me of my conversation with my dad over the weekend. He knew my fiancee was up in VA near their house so he said, "Why don't you send her to stop by and grab your .22, your .410, my AR, and your mom's 1100." I replied with, "Um...no way would she consent to doing that"
I can picture her face now while my dad loads up her tiny VW beetle with four rifles and a bunch of ammo. :36:

I just wonder if any of these wives that don't like weapons in the house ever watch the news? Or read the crime report in the news paper?
I came home yesterday and the wife said to me, Go get your new gun mag. There is a weapon in there I like. She was looking at the Ruger LCR. She has never been anti-gun. But in the last year I have noticed that she is going to the range with me at least once a month. Life is good.

Yes they do, they pay more attention to the stories about kids playing with firearms which is in the news every other month compared to BG preying on the unarmed which is in the news everyday. Atleast that is what mine does.
