I have a ruger 22/45 that gets more range time then all my other guns. It has a red dot, comp, majectic arms speed strip kit and bushing, and their extend mag release. Can someone recommend a trigger, extractor, and new firing pin? Anything else i should look into? Thanks

Dale

I have the Volquartsen trigger blade in mine and I like it's feel, it also has set screws for pre- and over-travel. They also produce an extractor that works well. I dunno about the firing pin, have not heard much of anyone having problems with the factory firing pin.

+1 for Volquartsen

Their trigger has over travel and pre travel screw that make it easy to dial in a really short trigger pull.

I also use their extractor. My pistol started getting some issues at several thousand rounds, and this fixed it.

I'd also recommend the VQ sear, as it greatly reduces pull weight and smoothness of the trigger (mine is just under 2lbs.)

They do have a firing pin, but I have not used it as mine works well. Will likely try one in the future.

There's some other stuff I did to mine:
1. a BPatza LCI filler. This is a nice part and eliminates a bunch of crap. Can find it in mark3 forum at RimfireCentral.com
2. I added some different magazine bases.
3. I added a Firesight front sight.
4. I did the gravity Slingshot Mod.

Clark also makes some cool stuff for them, but I have no experience with them.

The volquartsen stuff is great. They offer an "accurising kit" that is one of the best bargains in shooting. I ordered mine from brownells for a little over $100. Everyone that shoots it asks about the trigger. I also really like the extended bolt release they make too. Other upgrades I would recommend that I did are Hogue grips and a red fiber optic front sight.
