I'm going to purchase a Ruger American in 30-06 soon but, its my first so I'm kinda lost. I will only be shooting out to 200 yards or so and only punching paper. I'm trying to keep this budget friendly but, if I need to spend more I will. So don't be afraid to tell me how it is.
Three things I need help with:
1. Which rings?
I've read so much about weavers, quadlocks, low, medium, high, badger, dnz and such that my head is spinning. I just need the bare minimum to securely hold the glass and be quality.
2. Scope?
I'm looking at staying around $200 simply because I won't be shooting very far. I'd say most shots will be in the 1-2 hundred yard range. I read alot of good things about the Bushnell 3200 but, if I could spend less and it be adequate I'm game.
3. Bipod?
Who makes a quality bipod without breaking the bank. It seems 50/50 whether people buy quality or utg stuff.
