Are you going to shoot the match at least once?

What do they say? They are all x military that were outfitted with all that stuff, I'm talking the best of the best to the point that it was point and pull, even Chris Kyle said that, he says he was no more then a monkey on a gun with all the programs they had and range finders and wind meters.
That monkey truly has some talent, all good marksman for that matter. But that's only small portion of the sniping gig.

I'm not trying to have a 85 page rule book on restrictions. I can't recall which series IDPA or USPSA has a lot of gear no no's. But I'm trying to keep it as real world deployable gear set up as possible. Remember I'm a former Sniper from the 90's. We had squat far as technology as they have today. At Sniper Fest the older the shooter the faster they shot. My partner had a tripod strapped to his backpack. After watching go pro footage. Spent 3 mins + with unhooking, set up and packing it back it up. That besides me missing 1 rifle shot cost us 3 positions in rankings. I was going to shoot off his shoulder but my muzzle break he won't liking. I met him 10mins before the match. My partner got sick. Keep it simple folks. But it all still comes down to the shooter. A $8K rifle still ain't going to make you a better marksman.

Please add me to your email list for these matches: sdavis9992003@yahoo.com

I am game for anything you guys come up with. Would rather not shoot paper all day (boring) but a variety of targets and different ranges would be fun.

Question: Would these BDC scopes be useful for known distance targets?
Most of the stages will be range estimation. Either hand held device or using your scope. As a former Sniper we didn't know distance. Shooting was just a fraction of our skill set. All my matches are treated as training. Not just a match. I'll be rolling out the rules by this time next week and the first match date. It will be simple yet fun for everyone. No gear. I'll post here a link to registration and will try to add you to a list. I usually create them as people sign up. You can use my contact us form on my website and request it there. I can add you from that.
Thanks.
