Is it just me or do a lot of guns not seem to be selling or trading right now? I have never had a problem getting things sold on here but it seems like no one is buying anything right now! Comments welcome.

The rush is over. Everybody either found what they wanted or they know that it will be had more reasonably in the near future.

Pretty sure the days of the $550 shield/glock/10-22 are over. they can be had new in many shops for less right now.

also remember summer time means travel and vacations always makes money tight.

For a typical gunshop that makes their money off a mix of hunting, tactical, personal defense summer is always a slowdown. There's no hunting sells to speak of till closer to fall and people stock back up, upgrade guns, scopes, etc. Self defense and tactical purchases are normally coming from fun money (ie the guy with a CCW will usually own a carry piece, he's just looking for the "perfect" gun for the situation), guys buying tactical are almost always upgrading/tweaking. So, when it comes time to take the wife and kids to the beach, or buy a new "toy" as the wife will see it, the wife and kids win out.

I think this year it's more noticeable because of the feeding frenzy that went on pretty much from late December on into early April. Most of what I'm seeing selling gun wise in BST is going for what it would have went for last November, or just a little bit higher. People just aren't convinced that they need to buy everything they've ever wanted/think they might need. Ammo is creeping down, once the guys who's snatching it up from Walmart and the like start getting stuck with it instead of being able to sell it hrs later at a profit that will even out too and you'll see it get back to a normal level. However, I do think normal level, you're going to see an increase in people stocking up / prepping. $80 bricks of cheap .22 has gotten a lot of peoples notice of how bad things could get quickly.

Right now a lot of people spent way more than they'd planned in the first of the year so it's extra lean times for many would be buyers.

Agreed, market correction is part of it, so is the summer season. Also, 80% of the guns are essentially the same, and many you can just get cheaper elsewhere.

I have several for sale now at what I believe to be decent prices. I'm getting almost no action. Of course, I'm not desperate so I've turned down low-average prices and declined big drive times.

It isn't just here. Even gun shops have a lot more guns and are hardly moving any of them. I had put some stuff up on Armslist and the only thing I sold was the 22 ammo. I barely got any questions on any of the other stuff. I normally get at least a couple of dumb questions or smart ass remarks. This time, the most I got was a couple of, is this still for sale? No you jagoff, I just listed or bumped the item ten minutes ago because I sold it weeks ago.

I'm very surprised your 22/45 & Camo Mossberg haven't sold. Very fair prices. Last two I sold were slow too. But I'll sure take it over panic pricing!

A lot of stuff is sold and you never hear of it.

The firearm market is correcting. That is obvious.

People are also just plain BROKE, I think. Years of Obama has left a lot of folks under-employed, gas and groceries have gone WAY up = broke people.

People need to suck it up and drop their prices if they actually want something to sell. I can buy a new Glock for $500. Why would I pay more than that for a used one?
