foxtrot,

Where in the upstate are you located? I work in Gaffney, SC and live in Rutherford Co. NC.

I'd be willing to show you the ropes. I use a single stage press and load for pistol and rifle. One aspect of my reloading kit is that I can make it portable with no trouble.

Shoot me a PM with some contact info and I'll be happy help.

Watching someone for 15 mins is worth 8 hours of Youtube vids.
A little longer than 15 minutes, but being able to ask questions and get answers is the biggest plus of having someone show you the ropes. I learned the basics by watching my dad reload when I was about 12 years old and that's been 35 years ago.

Reloading is a life skill. Once you know how, it'll stay with you for life.

I've recently been trying to soak up as much info as possible so I
have hit the youtube and found several helpful vids that go through and break down the entire process. Of coarse you dont have the person standing there helping you out and answering questions

Fox, up Hwy 11 to US 25N will get you to Hendersonville, then US 64W to Etowah will get you to both the Seabee or myself in a couple hours or so. You could learn to do it all by yourself, many of us have, but your comfort factor would be MUCH higher with a guided start.

If you shoot a cartridge we have dies for you could load a few rounds and then shoot them on my "range" (AKA, pasture). PM either of us if you're interested, we can make it happen.

I am in Rock Hill and would be glad to share my limited knowledge.

ETA you are a pretty good distance from me but if you find yourself this way the offer stands.

Thanks all. I only run a few calibers as I try to collect rifles and pistols in that range. I will pm some of you all to work on meeting up in the next month.

We will have a hands on reloading class in April at our gathering. Any who have portable reloaders please plan on bringing them so many can participate. We did it about four years ago and folks worked for hours that night "perfecting" their new skills. Probably the 3rd weekend in April at Camp Millstone near Rockingham. Will post under NC/SC events as time grows near. wc

reloading in Winston Salem

Greetings,

I would also like to observe the reloading process who is familiar with .223 69 gr or longer and .308 155 gr and heavier for long range target. I have all the single stage component except for a swage tool ?dillon 600 to uncrimped military brass. I have several types of dies, bullets, brass, primers and powders of all types for both calibers.

Anyone in Winston salem area or sorrounding? Don't mind repaying with burgers and fries. Thanks
