I bought this gun a couple of years ago and have had it to the range once.
I may have fired a dozen or so rounds through it.
I doubt it had a box through it when I bought it. It is the tightest old Winchester I have ever owned.
Rifle has never been drilled for sling and is not modified in any way.
It has a few scratches/rubs but the bluing is very much intact for a rifle nearing 50 years old! I'd say an easy 95% or better.
Serial number is 25379** which I believe makes it a '61 gun.
