Do you want a sub compact 9mm or 45acp?

9mm more capacity, less recoil, smaller round than 45acp.

45acp, bigger round, little more recoil, less capacity, quick follow ups may take more practice.

45 framed glocks will be sightly thicker.
The SF stands for slim frame, which means the G30 has a slightly smaller grip than the other non SF G30s.

I carry subcompact type guns in both 45acp and 9mm.

The new XDS 45acp is my Cold and cool weather gun. Some argue that 45acp will penitrate heavy coats better, but actually I just carry it because I can conceal a bigger gun in winter with the clothes I wear, and it's still lite enough to be comfortable imo. That's why my G19 and G23 sets at home most the time, not as comfortable and concealable imo.

The 9mm Kahr Pm9 is my summer carry for lite cloths.

G30's seem to be about the same size as a g19 IMHO.

The sf isn't slimmer, it is "shorter" front to back in the grip reducing the trigger reach for smaller hands. Glock reduced the backstrap circumference just a teeny bit. I reach the 30 fine, but the 30 sf seems awesome feeling to me.

The G30 (32.50MM wide) is just a little bit wider than the G26 (30MM wide). What I would also consider is most put an extension on the G26 which makes the grip the same length as the 19/30 with facotry extension. So in my opinion I would go with, umm, well, uh, you see . . .

Tough decision.

Which would be better for reselling purposes? Is one worth more than the other? Which would be easier to sell in case i didn't like the G30
You should probably go shoot a 30 before buying or trading for one if you're making the decision on which is easiest to sell if you font like it. The 45 Glocks are noticeably thicker to me so I prefer to carry them OWB.

I don't think the guy at the gun shop would want me loading it and shooting in in or near his shop. lol. So that's not an option unless i can find a friend that has one which may be a possibility.

gj10 you never answered the question... Tough call for me. I love the G26 and it shoots very well, but i do love the 45acp round...
Well sometimes indecision can be a positive, it makes you throughly explore both sides of a decision. Where in NC are you located? There is a range in Hickory that has a G30 not SF model for range rental.

I have to vote G26. Even when ammo prices are "normal" 9mm is much cheaper than .45. Unless you reload or money is not a factor for you, you are likely to practice much more with the 26. If you want a larger round for self-defense, I would suggest buying a G27 in .40 and a conversion barrel so you can practice with 9mm ammo. I bought a Lone Wolf conversion barrel for my 27 and it has been flawless over several hundred rounds so far. If you look at the ballistic tables and gel tests, there's not a huge difference between a 180gr .40 and a 200gr .45 using good ammo.
