These all look nice fellas. For those of you with the classic Colts? What year models are you shooting? My father in law has a Colt manufactured in 1918 and it shoots as well as my brand new Para any day of the week. He has replaced the barrel (to prevent the factory from being worn) but other than that its as is from 1918 and still a great shooter.

I have a few Kimbers and a colt but the ones here are the ones that will stay in my collection forever.

This is the first one I built by hand, all gunsmith fit parts and was my learning gun.
45ACP, Government Size

Then I built this one, 9mm All Stainless Custom for me and only me.

Well, I guess this belongs here. If you call 911 and have to press 1 for English, that makes it 1911... Or maybe that would be 911 1

Bought this a month or so ago, my first 1911. Complete impulse buy when I spotted it as a tacpac on Bud's web site. Have probably 400 rounds through it now. One misfeed and it was the ammo, my first 45acp reloads and I set the SWC's shoulder to low to the case mouth. Great shooter! Being left handed I'm going to have to install a ambi thumb saftey though.
